International Students

GBLA is a supportive, diversified learning community where students and staff together build relationships that last a lifetime. Strategically located between Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C., the school is an exciting location for international students who are searching for a program that meets both their academic and performance needs. Nestled in the picturesque countryside, GBLA provides the challenging opportunity to study, practice, and mature in a quiet, caring learning environment. However, just a short travel distance from the school, we engage our international students in the vast cultural and educational aspects of the United States’ leading cities, providing them with a superb, well-rounded experience in our country.

Success in the classroom and in the performance arena is largely dependent on the student’s grasp of the English language. GBLA places a strong emphasis on its English as a Second Language (ESL) program, utilizing small group learning classes and programs such as Rosetta Stone to increase listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in English. GBLA prepares international students for the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), the examination most US colleges utilize to assess whether a non-native English language student is proficient enough to succeed in their academic courses.
